7-12 schools to resume in-person on Monday, January 24

Thank you for your flexibility and support as we transitioned to a temporary online learning model. We plan to resume in-person learning Monday, January 24 as expected and as previously communicated.

Please know that much like winter weather, we are watching the impact of Omicron very closely in an attempt to forecast our ability to staff our buildings. It is possible that we will need to shift a building again to a very short term period of online learning. However, most experts are predicting that the surge of Omicron is either behind us or close to being behind us, so we anticipate improved staffing and health conditions from this point forward. If shifts to online learning are necessary, we will continue to keep buildings open for anyone who needs to attend school in-person.

We also recognize that some of our families will want their student(s) to continue learning at home for a little while longer. To provide as much assistance to those students as possible, teachers will start a Google Meet at the beginning of class, using the same code/link they used for online learning. This Meet will be left open so students at home can join and hear any direct instruction that is delivered. Students who log in to the Google Meet will be marked present. More information will follow in your principal’s weekly newsletter.

We are excited to see your children on Monday!

With deep appreciation,

Crystal Ballard, HHS Principal
Julius Eromosele, NJH Principal
Leanne Kampfe, WJH Principal
